"When we think of those companions who traveled by our side down life's road, let us  not say with sadness that they left us behind, but rather say with gentle gratitude that  they once were with us."   Author Unknown

"I received Scooter as a Birthday/Christmas gift in December of 2008, from my friend Janice.  I had been riding her off and on since she was 2 or 3 years old.  I rode Scooter that winter and she found her groove on our drill team and loved it.  She only got the one season of drill but it was a good one! We went on quite a few trail rides with either Janice or the Lariettes.  For the first time I really got to relax & enjoy our trail rides.  (My other horse, Honey, isn’t a very good trail horse).  It was a great experience to have Scooter and really get to appreciate her strengths.
My little 'Boot Scoot' was one of the kindest, gentlest, and happiest horses I’ve ever met.  She packed around kids like a pro and I couldn’t wait to see what other things we would get to do in the future.
Scooter was put down on June 26th, 2010 due to intestinal cancer. She is greatly missed & loved by many and I will never forget all the great times she gave me."  -- Amy Ostrander
